The Durham Art Guild Art-A-Thon (site 2)
The Durham Art Guild is hosting an exciting 11 hour Art-A-Thon in SunTrust Gallery! Multiple artists are setting up temporary studios in the middle of the gallery and creating affordable original artwork on the spot to sell during the Durham Arts Council’s Art Walk Holiday Market. There will be a fun mixture of arts and crafts for you to explore! All donations and a percentage of art sales from the Art-A-Thon will benefit the exhibitions programs and operations of the Durham Art Guild. Come see the artists in action and help support the Guild! The Durham Art Guild is a nonprofit member-driven visual arts organization established in 1948. Our mission is to enrich and connect our communities by creating opportunities and providing leadership for current and future visual artists and art enthusiasts.

Liberty Arts Pour (site 19)
On November 17, Liberty Arts is offering a scratch block workshop 10:00AM – 1:00PM and Iron Pour at the George Watts Pavilion in Durham Central Park (site 19). The workshop is $40. Furnaces are lit for the pour around 3:00 PM Saturday and the 3rd Annual Iron Pour in Durham Central Park will have live music, local craft beer, a slate of food trucks, performances, tables of crafts, Liberty Arts swag and – of course – molten cast iron! While the Scratch Block Workshop has limited registration and a fee, the Pour is open to the public.
